5-HTP is a chemical by-product of the protein building block L-tryptophan. It is produced commercially from the seeds of an African plant known as Griffonia simplicifolia. The compound is a natural precursor to a neurotransmitter called serotonin, which helps produce “feel-good” chemicals in the brain and body. Serotonin can affect sleep, appetite, temperature, and pain sensation.

Indications:

5-HTP may assist with:

  • Improved sleep.
  • Weight loss and to maintain a healthy weight.
  • Relieving of depression symptoms.
  • Reduced anxiety and panic in people with panic disorder.
  • Relieve chronic pain from fibromyalgia.

Recommended Use

Take 1 capsule before meals or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Active ingredients per capsule:

  • 5-Hydroxytryptophan 100mg.
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCL) 25mg.

Other: Microcrystalline cellulose.
