ALA/DMSA [S0]

ALA and DMSA are chelating agents. Chelation therapy is a very effective way to remove several heavy metals from the blood, including lead, arsenic, mercury, iron, copper and nickel. The chelating agent works by pulling the heavy metals out of the tissue and filtering them through the kidneys so that they are excreted in the urine.

ALA

Alpha Lipoic Acid helps to scavenge free radicals and may help to regenerate other antioxidants including Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Glutathione and Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).

ALA may support chelation of heavy metals present in the body to help prevent the generation of free radicals and metal induced oxidative damage. ALA can cross the blood-brain-barrier.

DMSA

Dimercapto succinic acid is a metal chelating agent given orally to mobilize and enhance the excretion of lead from the storage sites in the body that are most directly relevant to the health effects of lead. DMSA is used to clear out extracellular Mercury, Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, and antimony.
