Rosmarinic Acid [S0]

Rosmarinic acid (RosA) is a hydroxylated compound frequently found in herbal plants and is mostly responsible for anti-inflammatory and antioxidative activity. Rosmarinic acid limits the production of proinflammatory mediators while promoting anti-inflammatory mediators; protecting the lungs, vasculature, and skin; reducing mortality in animal models of sepsis; reducing pain through antinociceptive effects; and displaying anticancer and chemopreventative effects.
